Hollywood Movies Houston! Renting movies while on-the-go needs to be spontaneous - visit a movie you want, click to rent it and observe. Which is precisely how mSpot sees users with their iPhone or iPod Touch app reacting once they start clicking their way through loads of feature length films.
mSpot includes a good idea -- consider the Netflix concept of finding a movie you want to watch on the web and then get it to watch. But not a couple of days later in the mail -- right then and there as being a streaming file. You'll be buying the mSpot Mobile Movies app first, but unlike most apps it requires you in a framework designed to work in Safari. This makes sense considering that the movie you'll be watching will probably be streamed directly to the iPhone or iPod Touch. And as long as you will find there's wireless connection, regardless of where you will be when the itch to observe hits you.
Membership in mSpot lets you use points towards watching films, instead of just paying by way of a credit card as you go. Obviously you're paying right into a monthly membership but that produces sense, right? Club membership also shortens the task for watching -- helpful given that entering data on the touch screen isn't always a breeze. Not to mention having less desire to pull out a charge card while riding a bus or subway. And since you'll be able to "bookmark" films to observe at a later time, no need to worry about having forgetfulness (the way in which things are going, all of us are getting nearer to having "Senior moments" today).
Using mSpot mobile is straightforward - just click the app you've downloaded from the App Store and possess it call for to a new page in Safari. Then browse or seek out the film you want (or take it from your saved collection). Then accept terms to rent the film if you so choose. By the best way, looking into the free trailer doesn't hurt first, as it gives you a heads up on the company's video you'll be getting.
Which looks very good all things considering around the iPhone or iPod Touch. Wi-Fi introduces the movie, in cases like this the not even close to recent Ferris Bueller's Day Off, within 30 seconds and there wasn't any choppiness or audio mismatch of lips to words. You can pause to control the film like it was downloaded into memory - but as it is a web page, should you lose the page or crash the Touch, you will end up starting the film again when you are back to it. You can move the film to where you left off, but do have a to wait since the film catches up prior to streaming starts again. Still all this takes less time than it will for iPhone users working over a 3G network -- besides should you're at the Starbucks at least you'll be drinking something to keep you awake should the film rented ends up being a snorer.
Oh, audio sounded good too - in stereo and and no hiss or crackles. Maybe that must be expected but it is good it's there regardless.
One interesting thing could be that the mSpot movie doesn't seem to choke the Touch as time passes - I've played shorter lengths of video in Safari coupled with it muck inside the Touch to the point where a de-activate and restart was necessary. So I need to say that mSpot knows what they're doing - and they're lucky that Apple's device has got the processing power and movie displaying moxie it can. For sure mSpot creates other mobile phones, but I'd give dollars to donuts that the Windows Mobile mobile phone will blow off its owner's head before you run a film all the way through without any problems. Hmm, let's not end on that note - what about this: you'll be able to load a Touch or iPhone on top of movies to observe, but there's not a thing you'll be able to do in the event you suddenly end up wanting to look at a particular film on it when not in the home. Well now it is possible to.
